When I bought my airplane, I had to totally re-organize the manuals. It was a mess! I have a special bag that houses all the logs. Within the bag, I have a ziplock bag full of old logbooks for Airframe, Propeller, Engine, Avionics, etc. I currently leave loose, the small current logbooks for Engine, Propeller, Avionics and Aircraft.
Here's where I need suggestions ... I have a 3" 3-ring binder that houses:
So when I got my airplane back from its Annual, it was suggested that I follow the following acronym "AVIATE" for organizational purposes of the 3-ring binder that contains my maintenance records:
How do you recommend I organize the 3 ring binder? What do you do?

- - V-Speeds
- - Airplane Flight Manual
- - Weight and Balance
- - Airplane Supplemental Flight Manual - Garmin 430 Transceiver
- - GPS National Database Update Log
- - Major Repair & Alteration (Airframe, Powerplant, Propeller or Appliance)
- - STC's
- - Repairs as of Feb 2013 (when I purchased the airplane
- - AD's
