The other day, loading to come home at a busy Ohio GA airport, 2 guys came up and identified themselves as FAA guys and showed credentials. Asked if I had time to talk. I told them I wanted to get home but could spare some time.

Asked for all the standard stuff.. Plane docs, my docs, asked for current weight & balance which I had to search for in the POH but found. Then asked for charts, I handed him my Ipad. He asked, what software are you running and I told him Foreflight. I got Foreflight running and he immediately went to the "more" and checked the chart currencies. Asked questions about my maintenance records which I told him I would never carry in the aircraft and they were home. Asked for my Logbook which I handed him. He fumbled through it and said... you don't log all your time ? I said nope, have no need but that my BFR and IPC were current and I log night - landings, approaches for currency reasons and he didn't pursue that anymore.

I said I hate to cut this short but I need to get going and they just said, OK, be safe.

This is my 3rd time ramp check in 28 years of flying.
