I am in the process of purchasing a plane. I have located a Cherokee 140. It has 621 SMOH. The OH was completed in 1998 by Kline. The troubling part is, the plane has only flown 28 hours in the last 6 years. And for 3 years, it was out of annual. It has had 2 fairly extensive annuals since then. And the compressions have always been good.

My questions for you all are, how much of a concern is this? What are the negative side effects of a plane sitting for this long? What is the worst case scenario? What special precautions/inspections would you want performed to make you comfortable with purchasing an airplane that sat unused this long?

I really appreciate the knowledge you all have previously shared. I look forward to reading your thoughts.

Thank you,
Cameron
