Flew my first ILS with my new panel and both the localizer and glide slope were erratic. I was within 3 miles so signal should have been good. There was a lot of static when I listen to the Nav.

I am thinking alternator, magnetos, loose antenna connection, or lack of static wicks?

Garmin 430 with a GI-106A. I had no issues with the Collins and Narco radios that were removed. I have read in other forums that the 430 can be very sensitive.

Anyone with a similar experience?
