So a rather interesting possibility came up today... I found a Warrior that has a run out O-360, but has IFR capability, GPS, 5 inches more in the back seat than my 140, and all the other things that make a newer aircraft more interesting... at an attractive price point.

What is the possibility of swapping the low time O-360 in my 140, with the high time O-360 in the Warrior and coming up with an overall better airplane.. then having the high time 140 to use for training my kids and others, until the motor has problems... So I get an IFR trainer / traveler with 180 hp.... What paperwork would be needed??.. both planes have Form 337's for the repower, so would just a logbook entry cover it??.. like putting in a new motor in both planes... just one having more hours than the other...

I'm just thinking.... my wife wants a bigger and faster airplane... think a Lear jet for bigger and a Star Trek Transporter for faster... so that is not going to happen, but having the longer fuselage of the Warrior over the 140 with the added rear seat room may be enough for the time being.. I see a Stiff legged Saratoga in the future, like 5 to 8 years away but till then this other route may be the way to go...

What say the experts??...
