It's been in annual for several MONTHS as we are correcting all the 'deferred' maintenance the previous owner let go. And, by the way, also correcting the slip shod "annual" that was supposedly completed when I picked it up a year ago.
But I digress...

The plane's sitting on the ramp waiting on a new prop and when I stopped by the other day, I noticed some surface corrosion on the top of the right wing next to the wing walk and up from the flaps.

I used Acrylic Werks to shine up the plane some months ago and was pretty dissappointed to see that it didn't do as good a job as I expected on protecting the paint less than 6 months later.

Any suggestions on
1) removing this surface corrosion without breaking out a wire brush on the paint and
2) a tried and true way of protecting the paint for a plane that has to live on the ramp?

Thanks all
R
