Hi all. This is a really lame question, but hopefully somebody maybe able to help out by giving me your opinions or a few pointers. I am neither a Piper owner nor a pilot. However, my brother-in-law is. He turns 50 this year and the family would really like to get him (amongst other things) a Piper/aircraft/pilot related present as it is something we know he is hugely passionate about and has put a huge amount of hard work into over the years. We would like it to be a surprise, so asking him in advance is not an option. I've been doing a little research for anything related to Piper aircraft for sale online but found mostly entire aircraft (out of our price range), spare parts or trivial paraphernalia that really aren't suitable for the calibre of present that we want to get for him. So my question to you guys as fellow Piper owners and pilots is this: What affordable Piper/aircraft/pilot related present would you most like to receive as a family present? Is there a particular training course or experience day or anything like that which would be suitable? Or membership of an association possibly? Or is there anything that every Piper owner commonly want for their aircraft that we could get for him? A particular radio maybe? Please excuse my complete lack of knowledge on this. Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Many thanks from myself and family in advance.
