Newer pilot, 90 hours, most of time in a C172, 15 hours in a Cherokee 235 with High performance endorsement, and around 10 hours in a Cherokee 180

Got an initial quote of $2400 for a Cherokee 6, $75K Value, which seems pretty high, but even WORSE was the requirement that they wanted 20 hours of Dual in the Six and 10 hours solo before taking passengers!

How did the rest of you fare out as lower hour pilots moving to a Cherokee 6?

Even worse is the agent that quoted this (she is shopping for better rates as she knows I'm not happy with that) has written three other policies for my leaseback aircraft thru our flight school (a C172N, a PA28-180, and a PA28-235) and those are all priced around 3000, to 3500 a year, but are used for flight instruction and the 235 is only rented to licensed and checked out pilots.
