In the power setting table for my 235, it has 55, 65, and 75% power settings. For each percentage value of power, the table gives you 4 rpm setting (2100, 2200, 2300, 2400) per given pressure altitude and the corresponding manifold pressure for that altitude and rpm.

So my question is... If I am cruising at a pressure altitude of 8,000 feet on a standard day, what is the difference between me picking 2100 rpms and 21.2 inches of manifold pressure or 2400 rpms and 19.4 inches if they both give me 65% power at that altitude? What is the advantage or disadvantage of picking a high or low RPM for the same power setting?

Does my question even make any sense? :) Thank you for any help.
