Hi all!

I've got an '89 Cadet, and I noticed a few things related to performance that confuse me. My PoH states that the airplane could have come with a choice of two props, 58" and 60" pitch. The equipment list shows my specific airplane has the 60" pitch prop.

Over to the performance charts, I see no reference to which prop is specified on these charts. I might have thought that the charts would be specific to an individual airplane (i.e. Piper would have provided a different chart for 60" vs 58"), but I don't think that is the case. I say this because the chart doesn't reference which prop was used, and also because my PoH charts match exactly to a generic "Information Manual" version of the PoH that I also have (and this information manual is definitely not specific to a plane/prop).

I would think prop selection would have a measurable impact on many of these performance charts, most notably "Engine Performance", "Climb Performance" and "Cruise Performance".

So tell me gurus, where am I going wrong here?

Thanks!
George
