Question for those with experience with the PA32R aircraft (or many others really...), if I was experiencing blockage in the fuel filter, would I still see positive fuel pressure and fuel flow? I'm seeing normal readings with both, but can't push the power up above about 1500 RPM without the engine trying to quit. My A&P just replaced the engine driven fuel pump (as well as the flexible fuel lines forward of the firewall) because we thought it was bad, but now I'm not so sure. I'm seeing solid readings from fuel pressure and fuel flow, and even did two run-ups as prescribed by the checklist with no issues; however, when I taxied onto the runway and pushed the throttle forward, the engine just wanted to quit trying to push it up passed about half way. During runup, it easily went up to 2000 RPM for the mag checks, but on the runway, wouldn't go passed 1500 without wanting to quit. The only change was turning on the engine driven fuel pump. It afterward did the same thing without the electric fuel pump as well. Wondering if something is causing a blockage in my filter in the selector assembly or possibly in my fuel flow divider atop the engine.
And yes...the aircraft is going back into the shop next week. Just scratching my head a little in the meantime.
