Ready to move forward with my new glareshield project, only to discover my late model dash "hump" is too large for the ADS replacement.

Apparently, when you have the third rectangular vent, you have the larger hump. This is directly from ADS that reviewed the same pics in this post. The larger hump and 3rd vent are common on later models like my 1980 Dakota.

Questions:

1. does anyone have a different experience with installing the ADS product... with the big hump?

2. has anyone removed or altered said hump?

3. Avion research just replied that they will make one for...$975 Anyone have one?
