2 years were up and went to Doc Newell for my 3rd class. I have used him for many years, he helped me get back in the air after double cataract surgery. He said this was my last trip to see him. I asked him what was going to come down and he said he had no idea. Thought the FAA would require my Doctor to do a checklist saying I was good to fly. I asked him how the hell my personal Doctor could know if I was fit to fly ? He just laughed and said the bigger question is would my Doctor take on the potential liability of certifying me..... Have a heart attack and put my plane into an apartmemt building and guess who gets sued.

We will see where this goes.
