A friend of mine lives on a near sea level 2600'x75' grass runway in Washington state. I am considering flying my Dakota into that runway. The shortest runway I have ever landed it on is 2300' asphalt.

Any considerations I should be aware of?

My approach speed is 72kts with full flaps. I have not gone below that even though that is a number for gross weight.

How will that work with my wheel pants? The grass is well maintained (I have walked out there).

I have never landed on real grass (there isn't any in Nevada). I imagine my braking will not be as effective but the grass will induce a lot more drag to slow down as well.

I have done "soft" field takeoffs on concrete but I don't think that is a very good simulation - perhaps it is... dunno.

Thoughts?
