Hello!

Would you tell me more on how to perform a "Hot Mag Check" when shutting down the engine? Never heard of it until now when my Instructor asks me every single time when I'm about to push my plane back into the hangar, if I checked to see if the mags were hot and he looks for the keys.

On shutdown, after I turn off all of my avionics, I pull the mixture, full lean. Once the engine quits, I turn the master off and turn the key to "off" and remove it from the starter. I take the key and open my baggage compartment to retrieve the tow bar. And thanks to one of the guys on the forum ... the tow bar is never left on the nose wheel unless I have my hand on it! ;)

Thanks!
Stacy (girl pilot) ;)
