EAA comments on Piper AD’s

I have posted the EAA article. Personally if I were buying a Cherokee I would want the AD complied with no matter what !

FAA appears to be deciding what extra inspections maybe necessary ……

The AD inspection itself could cause a crack to occur if not done properly. There are eighteen bolts holding on each wing plus a forward and aft attach point. The spar box may need to be inspected also

I have seen FAA cave under pressure in the past and either rescind an AD or require additional inspections…

I have also seen hidden damage caused by flight training. It is going to be a tough decision for FAA and Piper to decide what direction to go
