Just sounds like a bad joke, but this came out of the headliner of my 1998 PA32R-301. Even with it out in my hand, nothing seems to un-thread nor open in a way i can change the bulb. (The knurled ring is only for holding the unit into the headliner.

Does anyone have experience on how to open this to change the bulb? Part # shown is 89875-005 Rev F . There must be a way to replace the bulb from the co-pilot seat without dropping this headliner????
