Hi! First, apologies if this is a duplicate thread, I didn't see anything other than an old post in 2012.

I currently own a single-engine piper comanche (which I love), and am starting to think about upgrading to a twin. I am hoping to do some international travel with it, and as avgas is so much more expensive and unavailable in other countries, something that burns either jet fuel or diesel would make life so much easier.

I was reading about all the exciting stuff going on with the new diesel engines, and I heard about Cessna 172s and Cherokees that have been refitted with diesel engines. Is this possible with higher performance aircraft and/or twins, as well?

In short, would it be possible for me to buy a twin with run-out engines and have it refit with diesel engines? Has anyone ever heard of this, and if so, what have been the results? What is the price range for all of this?

Thanks in advance for everyone's help and expertise!!
