Using full throttle and 2400 rpm for takeoff-- which is typically 28" MP.

Was instructed (by a CFI) to reduce MP to 25" once TPA is reached.

The Lycoming manual doesn't seem to mention any max durations for takeoff power... etc. The POH only seems to discuss cruise settings.

Scenerio: What would your settings be at various points for a 1,000' MSL takeoff, to a 7.5k cruise altitude?

Please set me straight, fellas!

Randy
