Hi All,
I'm seriously considering moving from an Archer to an airplane that would better suit a growing family of 5. A Cherokee Six is one of the options that I'm looking at.

In doing some research I was a little concerned about the PA32's safety record. In particular the sink rate/glide ratio with an engine out seems somewhat troubling.

Have any Six owners had experience with engine out landings? I'm wondering how different they are from similar landings in an Archer/Warrior. Is this what is contributing to the higher accident rate in PA32s vs PA28s? If not, why the higher accident rate? I would appreciate any thoughts on this.
Thanks,
Hish
