My 64 Aztec has not been flown in about 6 weeks because I am redoing the interior. I noticed a pretty large amount of hydraulic fluid on the ground and all over the left cowling. The puddle was at least a foot in dia. I cleaned up the mess and went about my interior work figuring I'd deal with it later. My Next trip to the airport revealed the same amount of fluid on the ground. I then checked the pump and filter and they were not leaking at all. I then noticed that the line coming from the pump going to the fitting on the lower cowl was off and that the fluid was coming out if that and getting all over the place because it was not connected.

The big question why is it discharging so much fluid while the plane has not been run in about 6 weeks.?
