As most of us are are I'm sure, I am watching all the new products hit the market for the ADS-B mandate. At first I was most attracted to the Lynx NGT-9000 because it is an all in one solution for ADS-B, in, out, WAAS and mode S transponder. I also see Stratus is coming out with one similar but they still want you to use portable equipment for the "In".

Well I also see the Rangr family of products that is advertising "use your existing mode C transponder"

I guess I am confused about the connection if any to ADS-B and mode S.

Can anyone help clear this up for me?
