Over the past few weeks, I've noticed that every flight I take shows up in FlightAware, even short local flights where I don't file a flight plan:

I'm assuming that they're picking up my ADS-B. I have no problem with this at all—for me, flying is a public activity—but I'd be curious to know more about how and where they're doing it.
