Toying with the idea of buying a portable SirrusXM radio unit like this either one of these:

I did a search here and came across some posts indicating that a few of you have done the same or that you use an aviation gps unit like the 796 that includes xm radio so it seems that it's fairly easy to do but have some questions...

1. Where do you all place the antenna and the actual radio unit?

2. Did you end up with a mess of wires?


Trading up my GMA340 intercom for the new PS Engineering PMA450A and since my wife & I are getting tired of listening to the same old iTunes playlists I have on my phone every time we fly I started looking into this.
