We are currently looking to upgrade from a 1964 Cherokee 140, and I have never been in a 235. Do the older (pre-70) 235s have the exact same cabin as the 140, just a bigger engine up front and more fuel, or is there a few inches of stretch for more backseat room. There is a '69 for sale somewhat near us.
Along with useful load, cabin size has been an issue... we do a lot of short hop flights (1-2 hours) between the islands here on the west coast with friends or disassembled mountain bikes.
