Hey folks - we recently picked up a new Arrow (well, new to us) last week, and a few things coming up that we didn't notice during the test-flight, and wasn't reported during the pre-buy. Asking everyone here for their opinions and expertise, feedback and stories are appreciated.

1) The NAV setting on the Stec-50 autopilot intercepts and holds a Nav course heading, however it holds it off-course about 1/4 mile - 1 mile or so. I attached a picture of the Nav-hold on the autopilot... holding, however off-course. Seems like a compensation issue between the GPS and the autopilot. In the attached picture, this is the autopilot's as-flown course, after it has fully intercepted and decided that it is "on-course".

2) The heading bug/heading-hold function of the Stec-50 is off about 5 degrees. i.e. if you select heading hold of 090*, the aircraft will fly 085*. It is consistent around the compass. Similarly, the attached pic is in a stable flight attitude... after the autopilot has decided that it is "on-heading".

And finally, could these two issues be related? Seems to have some functional similarity. Again - thanks in advance for looking at my post and commenting.
