Hi everyone, typically I just hang out in here and read and respond. Today however I have a post to start in asking a question that perhaps has already been asked, but I didn't see a thread. I just got a quote back on replacing my Stec 50 with a GFC500. I was shocked at the cost of this entire setup. over 16K which did not include the auto trim servo.

I should add that I already own Dual G5', GTX345, and GTN750 so I'm a Garmin fan.

My Stec flys great but it's not coupled and doesn't have auto trim. So as I sit here with this large bid I'm left wondering if there are any upgrade options to allow the stec 50 to have auto trim and be coupled. I suspect the answer is no, but wanted to ask. I would be very happy even if it were just a couple for flying the vertical of the approach.

I have been told that there is a device you can purchase that will allow altitude preselect. I have looked at the tru trak and it doesn't get me much over what I have.
