I have a 1962 PA-28-150 with a stabilator that has mixed skins (original "outie" and later "innie") that were Cherrymax riveted in place during 1991. I would like to replace this mismash with a later "innie" from a clean pull from a pre-1973 Cherokee 140/150/160/180.
I notice that in the 2009 PA-28 Parts Catalog that the original "outie" stabilator was p/n 63460-000 and the newer "innie" is p/n 63560-000. Both have been replaced by current p/n 63460-900.
Is there any definitive documentation regarding the legal and physical interchangeability of the original "outie" by the newer "innie"? I would hate to procure a newer "innie" only to find that mounting holes don't match or that my A&P IA won't approve the exchange due to lack of approved documentation.
Thanks for your responses!
Chris
