I took my Saratoga today to have a dynamic balance on the prop. I have some pretty noticeable vibration during cruise settings and was really hoping the prop was poorly balanced... And we'll it wasn't bad. He fine tuned it but honesty it was within spec before we started.

My engine is TBO but has given no problems at all. Compressions are all very good and my performance seems very good. I'm anxious to see this first oil analysis that will be coming up in the next couple months.

Anyway, the lord mounts are really in need of replacement and sagging pretty badly. The Last annual recommend replacement within the next couple years.

The prop guy today took a look after the balance and said he'd bet anything the mounts were a significant reason for the vibration.

Anyway, I know the mounts are about $100 each x 4. With a good lift it doesn't look like replacement would be rocket science. Is this something I should be able to do with an on the field A&P and if it can be difficult what do i need to know ahead of time?

And please note (before the Internet police show up) I plan to get assistance from the proper people and have it well documented. I'm not planning on a hangar elf project to do something like this.

Thanks.
