I purchased my 73 Challenger last year. I have made some improvements but someone suggested that I rent it out and maybe help pay for it. There are not many rentals in my area and there are several instructors in the area that don't have their own plane. I spoke with my A&P and he said that the only difference is that the plane would have to go to 100 hour inspections.

As far as insurance, I would either have to get insurance to cover it as a rental or someone said that I could require all renters to have Non-Owner insurance.

Any thoughts on this? Am I just opening a ugly can of worms by doing this or is this something that could work out well?
