So if I decide to buy the airplane I'm looking at, I know, of course there must be a bill of sale, and cancellation of old, and application for new registration. I have read various places that the "pink" copy of the registration application serves as authorization to operate the airplane for 90 (maybe 120?) days. I have only found a pdf version of the registration application online. Is there a 2-part (or more) form (presumably with a pink copy) that I need to get from the FAA? Where would I get it? Local FSDO? Or can a photocopy of the pdf form available online be used?
