I’m having my engine overhauled. It’s a O-320-E2A from my 140. I want to have the prop checked as well while the airplane is down.
In some recent posts, there was some discussion of a prop pitch of 60” versus the standard 58” pitch I have now.
What does the increased pitch do for speed? Does the prop turn a higher or lower rpm on takeoff? Can the engine still make the 2275 minimum rpm or would it be higher?
Thanks for any input, my inquiring mind would like to know.
