I have an Archer II in for a pre-buy inspection next week and if all goes well, should join the ranks of owners by next Friday. I'm trying to make sure that I have all my ducks in a row, and while there is plenty of advice out there for what to do leading up to closing, there is very little about what you need to make sure you do at or after taking possession, and as a renter there seem to be a lot of things I never had to think about before. Here's what I've thought of so far - anything I'm leaving out?

1. Arrange for tie-down/hanger lease.
2. Confirm insurance.
3. Registration with FAA (escrow is handling).
4. Pay sales/use tax (California).
5. Download manuals for avionics owner may not have.
6. Get Jepp subscription for GPS upgrades.
7. Go fly.
