A few months ago I has having a lot of charging problems with my Aztec. Mine has alternators and the delco system. Frustrated by lack of parts available and no updated regulators available for by Serial number I ordered the plane power kit. The kit was designed to replace the generators on earlier Aztecs but the stc is broad and covers all models. The problem is the instructions are for the Aztecs with generators. The guy at plane power just said wire it like the drawing. No worries. Has anyone installed this in a c model that already had alternators? The drawing makes no use if the existing regulator switch as the kit has automatic switching in the event of a failure . I kind of like the switch set up. It makes no reference to the existing shunts and volt meter? It was looking like a complete rewiring project to me so I decided to patch up my system and keep flying. Now I am revisiting it and wondering if anyone had installed this kit in a c model and if it was a complete rewire or were they able to utilized the existing wires.
