Flying my Dakota today, I switched tanks with the selector and moved it from facing forward, to facing vertical. I had a brief smell of fuel in the cabin that lasted maybe 4 seconds.

Any idea if this is cause for concern? Perhaps I have small leak or seal that is not perfect when switching tanks. After I landed, I smelled around the selector and could not smell anything - even after switching it on the ground a couple times.

I had run about 45min to an hour out of the first tank and was switching to a completely full tank.
