I just got back from changing the carburetor in my 180. I wanted to change from the 10-3878 to the 10-4164-1 to see if it will solve my problem of high CHT's during FT climb, since my engine data shows my #3 running too lean at FT.

But that's not my primary reason for this post. The fun fact of this post was how unbelievably easy the job was. Despite those hold down nuts being in pretty tight spaces, the entire job took me (and a friend) only 1.5 hours, and that included cowl removal and re-installation and a test run to check for leaks! I went out there expecting to be cursing every 5 minutes and coming home with bloody knuckles, but it was a really nice and easy job!
