so today the mag check went well and seems to take off and fly okay, but noticed it wasn't as smooth feeling as normal. On downwind for the runway it became very apparent the left engine was what almost felt like backfiring, running rough, and making some unusual vibration. Tach seemed unaffected as well as all oil pressures and temps. Didn't try to quit or anything, just felt not as smooth as it normally does or should.

Being that the runup checked out okay, could it still be plugs? Both engines have new carbs. Compression's are great.
