Hi, would be nice if someone has any ideas...
After the 100-hour inspection, every 1-2 flight hours I could find a small oil stain l close to the front wheel when I wanted to fly again after about one week. This has never occurred before. It seems that it comes from the black tube which is connected directly with the mechanical fuel pump.
I have removed the air hose, which is linked with the fuel pump to check, if there could be some oil leakage at or close to the fuel pump itself but it was completely dry.
Furthermore, I checked the dip stick, but I could not find any suspicious level of unnormal oil consumption so far.
The metallic tube close to the black tube which is connected to the crankcase breather looks inconspicuous.
Last maintenance one service item has been “oil cooler flushing”, maybe this gives a hint.
Could it be a clogged crankcase breather maybe? Last maintenance I have asked to check the engine breather hose for proper closure, shop disconnected the hose, cleaned, and reinstalled it. Just an idea…
Thank you, Matt
