Headed to Toccoa to get my Xponder re-cert this morning. Most excellent trip out. Smooth as glass at 5500', Tracked the Foothills Vortac, and saw my new home, (if I hit the lottery) Flying S. It's a nice ~7000-10,000 sqft house, with Hanger, and paved runway, no driveway that I could see.
Anyway, I got to Foothills aviation, or Ace, or whatever the're called.
Had a look at some nice Corbins, and decided that I think I may want an Ace. Anyway, got the transponder checked out, hadda adjust the encoder, and it's all good for 2 more years. Trip back was at 4500'
and was OK untill I got over Bill Elliots place, where it started getting a bit bumpy. But That's what happens when the air warms up in the hills.
Anyway, I got the re-cert, and 10% discount for paying with greenbacks. All In All a good trip. :D
