Thanks to JimC and some other guys for the help in decision making. I replaced that awful coffee can beacon and the wing tip lights with the Orion Series by Whelen. I can't be happier. I used the Knots2U fairing replacement and am anxious to see how much the drag is reduced. If anyone is considering upgrading I highly recommend these lights. I have a 1965 Cherokee 180C. Installation was pretty easy. The only thing we didn't take time to do was synchronize the strobes. My tail strobe and right wing flash together and then my left wing. Other than that I am happy with the decision to spend the money.
