Not looking to start a war about trim versus not etc… I am struggling with steep turns, and it is all that is standing between me and my ppl. Here is my usual scenario:

Enter trimmed neutral at about 100 mph. Bump about 100 rpm as I enter. Enter consistently ball centered to 45. Start to pull back as I increase bank. If I pull back as I enter I get too slow/high quickly. If I wait until nose is lowering, increasing my elevator pressure just tightens my turn with either more altitude loss at same speed, or speed loss busting standards to maintain altitude. My elevator pressures routinely just increase my g’s and I lose about 200 feet total altitude.

I made the comment about trim because I should be able to fly it with or without trim. Our trim isn’t the best (set for hands off will eventually degrade to 500-1000 fpm descent)

Appreciate this community and advice
