Can someone tell me what I am seeing and if this is okay.

I normally don't fly at night but on a recent flight I was going to be landing before but close to sunset. I decided to turn on the position lights. The load meter is normally near the center of the gauge. When I turn on the landing light (I have Nose and each wingtip), it goes up slightly When I had the position lights and landing lights on, the gauge was almost completely deflected to the right. Is this normal? Should the position lights cause that much of an increase? What is this telling me?

Another question is the position lights are on the rolling type switch. Is that a dimmer for the position lights or on/off? If I replaced the position lights/strobe with LED, can I use the existing wiring and switch or do I need to change them?

Thanks
Mark
