What are everyone's thought on this? Seems like if you leaned as you climbed you could maintain better power on the way up and a better climb rate. I know if I climb to 6000ft at full rich, then lean, I see a noticeable power increase, which means the engine was way too rich.
EGT's average around 1450 leaned out. How about progressively leaning on the way up to maintain something like 1350? A little cooler for the climb, but should keep the power closer to the sweet spot. Sort of what this gadget does...

I've heard of people talking about leaning above 3000 to maintain sea level EGT's. I was thinking a little leaner than that might get better power for the climb.
