Installed the edm 730 with fuel flow and everything but the fuel flow is good. I admit i never do anything the easy way, stupid is as stupid does.
The airplane is a 1966 cherokee 180 C 2.5 hours on a new motor, the fuel flow set at k factor of 29.0 was reading 54 gallons an hour wide open so i adjusted it to k factor 84 and i get readings in the 15's. This is where the stupid part comes in, i had a 201b flowscan transducer from another project (used) so i thought i would save $200 and repurpose the transducer. I was expecting somewhere in the 11's wide open in level flight? Anyone have experience with this, edm's faq gives some info, possible air bleeding in, set k factor on shadins to 84 etc. what kind of fuel flow readings are normal in level flight 2650 full rich mixture at 2500 msl?
