I have a new partner in my 73 Cherokee 140. She’s had her private license for about two years & is a very good pilot. Very enthusiastic, & remembers everything I tell her. She also wants to get her instrument rating which I’m encouraging. The Cherokee has the standard six pack with a King 155 nav/com & Narco Nav/com., dual VORs, & a Garmin GTX 327 transponder. Without spending a small fortune, what would be the best instrument upgrade for IFR?
