GNS430W to GTX330ES config

Anyone here have this combo in their plane. My installer is not a Garmin dealer and is having problems getting it to work. I get a NOADSB message on the 330, and the 430 gives me errors not receiving input data on rs232 ch 1 and not receiving input data on 429 ch1. I am thinking wiring problem, but if I had a better idea of configuration settings it would help. Both units are up to the latest software levels.
