I have an Archer with a GNS430W and a GTX330ES. Each have been upgraded and have current software. An avionics shop supposedly added the necessary wiring and set the units up for ADS-B OUT about 2 years ago. I found out at the FAA Booth at Fun N Sun last week that I am failing the NAC and NIC data fields. They said it looked like software issues. I talked to Garmin and they told me to confirm that ADS-B OUT+ was set as an output. It is set and I still fail. They wouldn't give me a copy of the correct setting for the other fields saying that they only give that to dealers.
I suspect that the installing dealer did not correctly configure one or more fields in the 430 or 330 or both. I looked for the info online but have come up dry or than finding a copy of old install manuals that do not specify the correct data entries or explain the choices that are there. I have tried several permutations on test flights in the last week and I am still failing the same fields. I am hoping someone on the forum either has a copy of this "forbidden" document or has the same setup and is willing to give me a copy of the entries in each of the set up fields for both units. I would like to exhaust all available options before having to go to an avionics shop and send a lot of $$. Thanks in advance for any help on this.
