GNS 430 upgrade to Avidyne ?

Flying around with with the Garmin 530 and the 430, we want to upgrade so that we can benefit with the VNAV option. Now is the question if we are going to just get the W installation ore swop to the Avidyne ? Do you have any idea why ore why not ? As I see it it is a plug and play installation and yes there are som different display etc. But why is Avidyne preferred ?
Hoping for some experienced comment from some that has done the transition
