hi to all!
yesterday morning i opended the door of my piper´s hangar and during my initial walkaround i saw a patch of partially dried avgas on the floor located under the rh trailing edge where the wing joins the fuselage. i checked the fuel quantity in the tank, no noticeable loss of fuel, no dropping, i checked visually the bottom of the wing where i sustpected the fuel leakage, nothing special. so i got airborne for an hour, switched to the left fuel tank and still no loss of fuel in the right tank. after landing i got down and had a close look and noticed blue traces of avgas that obviously had been sucked out during the flight right at the fairing covering the wing/fuselage joint, there is defintitely a leak. i went home a little bit frustrated but within the next days i will go back, remove the fairing and have a close look to find the leakage. before i do that, any ideas, what about the linkage between the fuel tank and the fuselage, do i have to remove the tank from the wing or can i change the fuel hose easily, any partnr., can i buy a new one via aircraft spruce? i hope that only the fuel hose is to old and a bit porously so fuel drops out. sorry for the bulk of questions, have a good day and best regards,
Ben
