I have a Dakota with an O-540. At idle (800-1000 rpm) what fuel flow can I expect? I don't have a fuel flow gauge. I have it leaned to the point where if I throttle past about 1400-1500 it will die.

I have burned 350 gallons with 27 hours of flight and 16 hours on the ground (I am basing this on the tach running at speeds over 1300 rpm so there is a chance that some pattern work is not being counted).

I think I am burning about 12gph but really need a fuel flow gauge.
